The weather is slowly improving. With that, we are starting to look at the cameras and consider maybe it is time to do something with them. Of course, we have a new model in baby Chesney, the new girl on the block. She is a great little bulldog and is fitting in easily with Henry and Gracie. Chesney is a bit on the chubby side. She had a couple of teeth extracted and we have noticed she is much more energetic. We could both do with taking a few pounds off. Take a look!

Yesterday morning we spent hustling around doing chores. The yard finally got mowed, making the house look slightly inhabited again. We even hauled away all the clippings. In the afternoon we went near Lees Summit, Missouri, to shoot some graduation pictures for the son of some friends. The area we visited was near Lakewood and Unity Village. I have driven near Unity Village many times but never stopped to look around. It is a very neat place with lots of stone walls, bridges and buildings giving the area a unique ambiance. Here are a few shots from the adventure.
The young man in the photograph is a golfer and wanted some pictures on his local course at Lakewood. CJ is directing traffic here, with Mom and Dad assisting.

The next couple of shots are of what our hosts described as the signature oak tree for the golf course. It was perfect. I took several pictures of the tree, but wouldn't say I captured how impressive it appeared. It would be terrific to have trees like this one in the yard.

This is a sample of some of the stone work from Unity Village. We saw several people out with cameras during our visit. It looked like a prime spot for wedding, graduation, and portrait photography.
