August 2008

Henry has had a tough time with allergies this summer. The little guy can't go for walks outside without becoming ill. He had to go to the vet for a cortizone shot a couple of weeks ago to keep some hide on his body. We bought him some shirts to help with the scratching. He seems fine with wearing them, and is generally patient with putting them on and taking them off.

Still, he is a happy little guy. Every Saturday morning we have a routine. I get up, load the bins in the Highlander, and Henry hops in the car for a trip to the recycle center. The boy seems to know when it is Saturday and gets pretty excited before I go into the garage to load the bins. His behavior in the car is perfect. He just likes to look around at the stop lights and when we get to the center. This is the high point of the week for Henry. Me, too.

Although in fact I have been taking some photographs this summer, I haven't been good about updating the blog. Perhaps this winter I will be more diligent. CJ and I have been thinking a lot about vacations. We would like to go back to Paris, but the Euro is ridiculous right now. In the meantime, imagination will have to suffice...
