I am creating a new area on the web site for family history. I may move this over to a separate gallery down the road, but I need to start somewhere. Last week my sister Kathleen and I went to Drexel to visit with Lila Jones, the family historian. We got a fair amount of information from her, but clearly this is the tip of the iceberg. There is much more to be had.
Kathleen and Lila review some of Lila's research.

I am particularly interested in family photographs of previous generations. If you have any of these, feel free to image them and sent to me. I will post them on the web. Down the line, I would like to have an interactive site where you could view the family tree, press on a name, and see all the photos and other information I have available. That is pretty ambitious and time consuming, so we will have to see.
To get your appetite up, here are three generations of Jackson. From left to right:
Peter F. and Geraldine Eva McCormick Jackson (my parents)
Peter F. and Martha Elizabeth Courtney Jackson (my grandparents)
Peter F. and Minerva Stanley Hill Jackson (my great-grandparents)

This image was labeled Soloman A. Jackson. I believe he is a brother to our great grandfather

This is a picture of my mother's father, Henry Ray McCormick. My sister Kathleen had a photocopy with some tears and imperfections which I was able to clean up a bit on the computer. While far from perfect, the restored image is much better than where we started.
