Charlotte shot this picture a while ago. I worked it from her original image in PShop and have intened to publish for quite a while. I finally found time to do so. It is a nice example of CJ's studio work. As my photography instructor asked "Is it a pretty flower or a pretty picture of a flower?" In this case, both! It also reminds me of the plant from Little Shop of Horrors, "Feed Me Seymore!"

The bulldogs get along famously. Gracie likes to sleep under the covers, and Henry likes to sleep on top. Henry also likes to jump on Gracie whenever the opportunity arises. This shot was taken after a long walk though, and both of them just wanted a nap.

Gracie pokes her head out from the covers briefly to see where Henry is lurking. After convincing herself the coast was clear, Gracie curled back up, hidden away under the blanket.

We went for a drive a couple of weeks ago in Shawnee Mission Park. A turkey appeared along side the road, and then several more behind him including chicks. I got this shot over my shoulder, and then they were gone.

This disturbing sight is from Kathleen's front yard. I am sure one of the kids gave her the face kit as a joke, probably poking fun at Jerry. Still, it caught my attention enough to photograph.

Labor Day weekend we went to congratulate my brother-in-law Jerry on his retirement. CJ took the opportunity to try a little ultra-light fishing. She just caught a small catfish on a lure, and had a great time trying to hook another!

Henry and I recuperate together. He is a people guy, but his snoring woke us both up several times.
