January 2007

The following photographs are MacKenzie Thorpe statues placed in Mill Creek Park, just outside our offices. I wandered down with my pocket Nikon to see how it would capture the images. It was freezing cold outside, so I cannot say I worked hard to get the best angle for each shot. I like the statues very much, though, and wanted to get something before they are pulled from the park - and there wasn't a warm up in the near future. The first statue is called "Stop Dragging My Heart Around", I believe. What do you think?

I went outside today to take a couple of pictures in the park near work, and was surprised to find the Oscar Meyer WienerMobile parked on the street. As my friend Jeff would say, "Some photos you just have to take". Captain of the WienerMobile would certainly outrank Wal-Mart Greeter as a retirement career. It is important to have ambition!

This is a high-contrast update of a photo we took a few years ago. I have tried a number of experimentations on the shot, but thought this one worth showing.

This is how I spent some of my time off at end of year, listening to great blues music, reading, and hanging out with the pups. The remote control in my left hand helps everybody stay lazy at naptime.
