Our vacation weeken to Dallas did not happen. American Airlines cancelled our flight without giving a reason. No other flights were available until Saturday evening at best, and there was lots of frantic competition for those. There was a hassle finding our luggage, too, as American did have three whole hours to screw that up as well. We will go to great lengths to avoid American in future.
We did take a day and go to my old alma mater in Pittsburg, Kansas. Alma mater is Latin for 'nourishing mother'. Not that you care, but I took the time to look it up and thought I would share anyway. We had a terrific time. The campus has grown, and the entire town has done a nice job rallying around the university. I would definitely go there again.
In taking a few photographs, I have discovered just how rusty I have become with the camera and photoshop. I wil have to work on this a bit, but here are just a few shots from the trip.
